Thanks for everyone's support on my digital photography workshop so far, I will have another 1 day very intensive digital photography introduction class on 6/21 Sunday.
A brief description of what the workshop about.... It is a 1 day class (9:30 - 5:30pm) on Sunday 6/21 at my new photography gallery / classroom located in Belmont . This introduction to digital photography class is designed for student who has little/or no experience on using a DSLR ( Digital Single-Lens Reflect camera ) or a beginner in photography.
In this workshop, you will learn all the basic of photography such as ....
1) DSLR camera structure
2) Aperture/ Shutter/ ISO concept and control
3) Concept of depth of field
3) White Balance
4) Usage of different lens
5) How to choose a camera that fits your need
6) Get to know more of your current equipment
7) Basic photo retouching concept
8) Outdoor practise
It is an intimate class for about 5 - 8 students , we want to keep the class small so that everyone has chance to ask questions and interact, don't we all hate the boring traditional classroom learning environment ??? We all want to learn in a fun and relax way.
Bring your own equipment if you have, but not necessary as I have some Canon DSLR camera and different types of lens for you to play with and practice. (let me know in advance)
Class starts from 9:30am , will have a break and we all go out for an hr lunch and then class ends at 5:30pm.
Former students were all surprised how much they learned in a 7 hrs intensive class with me and it is a real jump start for them.

2009-5-16 Lets go HIGH fashion in Sacramento
Life has been busy busy busy busy..... back in April I was invited to participate in a photographers fashion shooting day in Sacramento, it was a little far from me, but it totally worth it.
As recently I upgraded my Canon 5D camera to the newest 5D mark II with video function, still testing it and getting familiar with it. The high definition video recording quality totally blew me away and not only I'm going to share some pictures I took , but I also want to share the behind the scene video just for fun with very basic video editing using Apple final cut pro.
Also thanks to Brian from Brian Gross photography took those CHUNG WORK IN ACTION pictures for me :)

2009-5-3 Chung Li Workshop, what a fun day.
Thanks for everyone's support , the 1-on-1 digital photography tutoring starting last year, to now the small group LIve to shoot, shoot with Chung workshops have always been fun. More and more photography beginners are interested in this type of intimate group 1 day hands-on workshop. This one on 5/3 Sunday at my gallery in Belmont was a little surprising to me (pleasantly), all six students are female. Thank you for all of you who came to my workshop : Jasmine, Tina, Sai, Patty, Tri and Brenna.
We started off with a nice cup of complimentary coffee and some Bagel, then we spent the whole morning learning some basic photography concept and camera settings with handout and presentation on TV. After our buffet lunch we headed out for a location shoot got some real shooting practise , here shares some images . The upcoming workshop is on 6/21 (Sunday), interested students pls email me chung@chungliphotography.com , seats are limited .

Working with Sue and Andrew was a lot of fun , the really treated me like a good friends in the whole process, they have both their wedding ceremony and reception at San Francisco City Hall. It was actually a long day for me and two of my 2nd shooters. We started at 10:00am at Sue's parent's place for the Tea Ceremony. Then, we went to the Mark Hopkins Hotel for another tea ceremony with Andrew's Family. After that, was my favourite outdoor portrait part. Since they rented a cable car , we got a lot of fun shot with it, but the best part was the whole bridal part shooting in Downtown San Francisco near Union Square. With overwhelmed greetings and "Woo Hoo" from the people on the street. The ceremony started at around 5:00pm in San Francisco City Hall, I was very excited to see my favourite floral designer Annie Siu again.
Not only met Annie, I also got to know an amazing videography team Lumitone . They provide instant editing service, it was almost unbelievable they can have the whole wedding day highlight video edited before the dance floor opened and be able to show all guests with projector screen . I am very impressed with the quality and the speed.
Pls look at the following wedding highlight pictures and slideshow I just finished Sunday morning.

Susan insisted getting me a shot during reception :) Sure, we are all party people !!
