Wish everyone had a great Christmas Holiday !! in the last 2 weeks I have been busy wrapping up some editing work and released the online album for a wedding in Oceano Hotel , Half Moon Bay I photographed last month. Charlene and Chris was excited getting the final images in the christmas holiday :)
One more thing I was busying at, was to finalize my new studio / gallery location , YEAH YEAH I'm done with the seaching and I am happy to tell everyone my studio location will be in Belmont ( near san mateo ) . Currently finding furniture , and getting all studio material prepared, such as all kind of albums, enlargement and canvas.
The new studio will be the place I meet all my future clients and also one very important function is to allow me to expand my 1-on-1 digital photography class . In order to better promote digital photography , in 2009, I am planning to organize more digital photography classes in my new studio , the format will be more like a small group from 2 - 5 beginner students who wants to jump start their photography skill , usually 7 hrs day class. Shoot me an email if you are interested for the class in January and February .
Alright,, here is a sneak preview of my new studio . Getting excited !!

2008-11-9 Engagement Shooting @ Embarcadero & Crissy Field
Michelle & Craig has not only been an awesome couple to me , but also my big blog fan. Especially Michelle, she is definitely one excited bride and getting more and more excited when every time I have new post and now is finally her turn for some engagement portrait . That was a beautiful sunny day near the embarcadero area and you can see the whole bay bridge and golden gate bride clearly, we lucked out !! as the week before was still pouring rain. It was such a beautiful day and I just couldn't help putting more focus on the clear sky and the dramatic cloud. I'm in love with the blue sky images !!!

2008-11-17 Hong Kong Trip | Wedding Gift to Andrew & Florence
Have been busy after I came back from Hong Kong a week ago, now gradually posting more pictures I took over there. I went back to Hong Kong for a 2 week vacation , well actually the main reason I went back this time was to attend my best friend Andrew and Florence's wedding, and YES I was the Best Man !! yeah !! I was so excited as I have been always going to weddings to photograph but now finally got a chance to be a guest and just relax and have fun.
The first thing I arrived Hong Kong, wasn't going back to sleep, but attended the groomsmen and bridesmaids gathering and I have a secret gift for Andrew & Florence ...... A special album for this special couple with the engagement pictures we took in Macau back in Feb early this year. Being a wedding photographer and the best man, how can I just randomly pick a cheesy gift for my best friends' wedding. They just loved this album as they have never seen this TRENDY, EARTHY, ALIVE and TEXTURED wedding album. ( and they didn't know I will make an album for them ) :) Surprised !!!
If you are interested seeing the pictures I took for them in Macau early this year , please visit : http://www.chungliphotography.com/e/andrew_florence/

2008-11-16 Wedding Shoot @ Oceano Hotel and Spa | Half Moon Bay
Charalene and Christopher's wedding was held at Oceano Hotel & Spa located in Half Moon bay. Don't feel too surprised if you have never seen a ceremony at this beautiful indoor ceremony location with a skylight roof , because this hotel just expanded and this shopping mall section is newly built . Charlene and Christopher was very lucky to have worked this out with the hotel and be the first couple to have the wedding ceremony in this unique venue.
I just like the laid back personalities of both of them. Charlene and Christopher are those kind of couple that always takes thing easy and will never got frustrated and never rushed. Christopher , this handsome police officer also demonstrated the calm mind and they are so perfect for each other . They just make everyone feel so comfortable wherever they are and gave me total trust on the whole wedding shooting .
Charlene & Christoper , have a great honey moon in Hawaii !!!!

2008-11-12 What made my day ~~
There are so many things that are so much more important than money...... my client's appreciation .
About a month ago, I shot Sheryll and Philippe's engagement portrait , as I mentioned before, we have a great connection since day 1 we met . We had a lot of fun on the engagement portrait shooting day and they were so happy with the result , Sheryll told me her sister after seeing the pictures called her and couldn't help teared up as she was so happy to see her sister's happy face from heart. After I released the engagement pictures to them, like a week after, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a bottle of red wine from this wonderful couple as a gift. I was thrilled and thats what made my day, this trust and appreciation from my clients is just priceless for me.

2008-11-8 Engagement shoot @ AT & T Park | San Francisco
I was honestly a little worry 1 hr before the photoshoot with Charlene and Christ , the weather in SF was very unstable and rained from time to time. Charlene was a little worry too , but I just use what I got, asked Charlene to bring an umbrella and may be we could do some raining scene shots . Fortunately the rain was not too bad and the result came out great. The location we picked was the AT & T park area in San Francisco and the street nearby. I'm very excited for their wedding day which is coming Sunday in half moon bay .
