2008-8-28 Getting ready for the Santa Monica Wedding

Shooting wedding outside San Francisco bay area is always exciting and refreshing. This weekend I will be shooting Mike and Lindsay's wedding in Santa Monica , LA . The venue is Sheraton Delfina. I'm getting very excited already. The wedding is actually on Sunday, I'm planning to get there with my 2nd photographer on Saturday, just kick back and hangout , check out the ceremony and the reception location. After the wedding on sunday, will stay 1 day longer and get back on Monday. Perfect ! and I will upload some highlight pictures probably mid next week. Stay tuned.

2008-8-25 Package Price Increase & new albums available

Due to overwhelming wedding photography request from all clients , I have just updated the basic package price on my web site www.chungliphotography.com , new package price starting from $4000 .
Also, in 2009, in order to balance my time on teaching digital photography classes / travel / have fun with my friends and some other adventures , I will only sign up 25 weddings max. to make sure every brides and grooms will be well taken care of. Clients who are interested in my service please contact me 9 - 12 months in advance.(OR contact me for availability before you confirm your wedding venue).
Now it is only 2008 August but I'm so excited for my 2009 shooting life already :)

2008-8-22 My image editing computer Monitors upgrade

I have been using my 22" monitor and 19" monitor on my image editing computer for a while and it is time for an upgrade. Just bought two Samsung 24" monitors specifically for image editing. After I carefully calibrate with the Spyder 3 PRO monitor calibrator, and they are ready to go. Bigger monitor is just making my image editing work more fun and the dual monitor mode of lightoom is awesome .

2008-8-16 Sue & Andrew's wedding at San Francisco City Hall

Working with Sue and Andrew was a lot of fun , the really treated me like a good friends in the whole process, they have both their wedding ceremony and reception at San Francisco City Hall. It was actually a long day for me and two of my 2nd shooters. We started at 10:00am at Sue's parent's place for the Tea Ceremony. Then, we went to the Mark Hopkins Hotel for another tea ceremony with Andrew's Family. After that, was my favourite outdoor portrait part. Since they rented a cable car , we got a lot of fun shot with it, but the best part was the whole bridal part shooting in Downtown San Francisco near Union Square. With overwhelmed greetings and "Woo Hoo" from the people on the street. The ceremony started at around 5:00pm in San Francisco City Hall, I was very excited to see my favourite floral designer Annie Siu again, as last year I worked with her in the same location and our worked has been published in the weddingchannel.com .
Not only met Annie, I also got to know an amazing videography team Lumitone . They provide instant editing service, it was almost unbelievable they can have the whole wedding day highlight video edited before the dance floor opened and be able to show all guests with projector screen . I am very impressed with the quality and the speed.

2008-8-13 My client's wedding is published on weddingchannel.com

It always made me feel excited when my work go public, June and Greg is my all time favourite client and constantly referred me a lot of cool clients because we have such a great connection since the first time we have the meeting in their condo.
This made me feel even more excited when their wedding I shot for them last year (San Francisco City Hall) has just been picked by the editor of the Weddingchannel.com and published on their website main page, featured in the real wedding category. YEAH !!! and also included 16 images .

2008-8-11 Work shop of David Jay & Jasmine Star

On Monday, I attended the workshop "Free to succeed tour" by David Jay and Jasmine Star. Great workshop and very informative. Also, I got to hang out with my good friend Caroline & Dan From Tinywater photography , wonderful night and a lot of fun. Also got to say hi to the famous destination wedding photographer Gene Higa,, I was like a little fans asking for a picture together :P
